Level tests
There are 2 types of level tests.
Test for starting with Dutch
If you want to start taking Dutch lessons, we will ask you to take a test. You will then receive advice on courses you can take. At the end of the consultation, we can register you together.
How does it work?
There are 2 options:
- You already know some Dutch: you take a language level test. The test evaluates how good your Dutch is in terms of listening, speaking, reading and writing. This tells you at which level you can follow the lesson.
- You don't know Dutch yet: you take a test in cognitive skills. This tells us which type of course suits you.
You must take a test again even if you have not taken a course or test for more than 6 months.
Test to know your language level
If you do not require a certificate, but you or your employer want to know your level of Dutch, you do not have to take a certification test and can take a normal language level test. You will not receive an official certificate, but you will receive reliable test results on paper. Visit during opening hours or make an appointment.
